Who are we?
We're a media team based in Auckland specialising in dance and performing arts, led by Joel Staveley.
MX started in 2020 and quickly became the go-to photography and video provider in New Zealand for performing arts. Since then we've had the privilege of capturing more than 120 dance shows and thousands of dancers on stage at competitions all over Australasia.
Our journey into the dance realm was a little different than most. Coming from 7 years in the commercial sector, we developed a unique set of skills, technical workflows and production quality that won't be found anywhere else.
We love supporting the performing arts community both at home and abroad. Throughout the year we give back to the community that supports us through sponsorship, prizes and donations.
